On Being Human a multi-media exhibit curated by Terry Plater
Under the leadership of Terry Plater, and in conjunction with the Smithsonian National Institute of Natural History’s traveling exhibit, “Exploring Human Origins: What Does It Mean To Be Human?” ten local artists have come together to present—through their art–what they think it means to be human.
Featured artists include Ben Altman, photographer, Jane Dennis, 3-dimensional artist, William Benson, painter and portrait artist, Robyn Wishna, photographer, Mauro Marinelli, photographer, Gurdon Brewster, sculptor, Lin Price, painter, Terry Plater, painter, and Sheryl Sinkow, photographer.
The exhibit will be on display through February 28, 2017. An opening reception will be held on Friday December 2, 5:00 – 8:00 PM on conjunction with First Friday Gallery Night.
